BRETT BLOOMSTON: In my years of practice I've represented many folks who have been charged with criminal drug offenses in Alabama.

Those range from simple possession to cultivation, trafficking and manufacturing of narcotics. These are very serious cases. It's very important to have an attorney who is well versed in the criminal law dealing with drugs in both federal and state court.

It's oftentimes we see a state drug case can be absorbed into a federal case. A lawyer that knows both systems and works in both courthouses will be the best for you.

If you've been charged with a drug crime in Alabama, the first thing that we need to look at is whether there was probable cause for your arrest. Many times we see in search warrants that warrants are simply done by law enforcement based on other than probably cause. Those cops do whatever they need to do to search your property.

That doesn’t fly. That can't be used against you. It's called the fruit of a poisonous tree, and this firm aggressively defends cases where law enforcement is the guilty party.

Many of my clients were able to achieve favorable outcomes from hard work, aggressive defense and a dedication to an aggressive representation in their cases. I care about my clients. I want to win your case.
